VRCARDIO at the Heart of Medical Innovation: Our Participation in “Building the AI Generation”

This week, the Spika Tech S.L. team had the honor of participating in the launch of the “Building the AI Generation” program—an initiative promoted by the Government of Spain as part of the #GeneraciónD framework, with an investment of €120 million through the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, Red.es, and European funds from the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.

💡 A Space for Science, Technology, and Digital Transformation

The event, held at the Illustrious Official College of Physicians of Madrid (ICOMEM), brought together key figures from the research community, government institutions, and tech companies to support the development of 374 researchers who will work over the next four years on projects related to Artificial Intelligence and digitalization in centers such as the CSIC, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), CNIC (Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research), and the CNIO (Spanish National Cancer Research Centre).

In this context of innovation and technology transfer, Spika Tech had the opportunity to showcase VR-CARDIO, our #HealthTech solution that is revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias through the use of Mixed Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

With a 360º holographic visualization of the heart’s electrical activity, VR-CARDIO enhances diagnostic accuracy, reduces the need for invasive procedures, and supports clinical decision-making. It is a breakthrough that places technology at the service of medicine, with a clear mission: to save lives.

We also demonstrated our robot PRAS, designed to enhance clinical environments through autonomy, personalized assistance, and interactive capabilities, powered in this case by voice commands.

👥 Science, Young Talent, and Institutional Commitment 🩺

The event, held in the iconic ICOMEM auditorium, was attended by institutional representatives such as:

  • Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service
  • María González Veracruz, Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence
  • Juan Cruz Cigudosa, Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities
  • Jesús Herrero, Director General of Red.es

As well as researchers and entrepreneurs with whom we share a common vision: building a future based on technology, knowledge, and social impact.
